- The Best Choice for your Harvesting equipment.
Mud Hog is the only rear wheel drive that is factory installed on Case IH combines and cotton pickers, John Deere cotton pickers, New Holland combines, Gleaner combines, Massey-Ferguson combines, and Lexion combines. New or Old make sure you have the Mud Hog rear wheel drive advantage.
- Exceptional Steering Control and Tractive Capability...
A patented Equa-Trac II® valve provides full forward and reverse power to both rear wheels. This rear wheel drive control valve diverts power away from the spinning wheel to the rear wheel which is getting traction. The resulting superior tractive capability improves steering control as well as the combine's ability to power through muddy conditions.
- Superior Strength
While some alternative wheel drives use high speed, low torque hydraulic motors and gearboxes, the Mud Hog features a more powerful low speed, high torque hydraulic motor which eliminates the need for gear boxes a the wheel ends. The height strength Mud Hog wheel design handles more than 10,000pound per wheel and can withstand shock loads which may damage alternative systems.
- Avoid Possible Drive Train Damage...
A Mud Hog® can also help you to avoid the cost of repairs to severely worn or ruined wheel end gears, hydrostatic transmissions and other expensive drive train components and engines. When a standard two-wheel drive combine muds through a wet field, the rear of the machine is literally dragged through the mud. The resulting stress on the combine's drive train components may cause premature failures. A Mud Hog® powers the rear of the machine through and avoids this stress. So, the risk of damage to expensive drive train components is greatly reduced.
- High clearance heavy axle with extra high wheel to frame clearance, Mud Hog ensures no frame to tire contact. And wheel ends are completely within the rim and tire to avoid excessive accumulation of compacted mud and crop residue. Mud Hog axles adjust to meet most row width requirements to give you lon term flexibility should you ever need to change row widths. Plus they adjust up and dow to level the combine. this helps to ensure proper automatic header height control for grain platform and corn head operations.
- On-the-Go, Single-Switch Control...
One switch does it all. There is no need for the operator to manually disengage the hubs prior to roading the machine. Now you can quickly turn your Mud Hog® on in the field and turn it off when you are ready to road the combine to the next field or home. The system may be activated on the go. And there is no need to remember to manually disengage the hubs.
